Who Can We Be?

“this world was not built with space for us to grieve, to mourn, to feel. at every level every institution and ideology was built to privatize pain and suffering, disappear and camouflage it, make it our individual fault and our individual responsibility to move on from it. i don’t want to be a part of that world. i want to hurt and feel and love and scream and cry. i want to create spaces in the world where hurt people can come together and cry say “I AM HURT,” say “I NEED HELP,” say “I AM AFRAID,” and i want to hug those people and cook for them and write poems for them and love them not because they are strong or empowered or inspiring but because they are lost (like me) because they are scared (like me) because they are broken (like me)”
